| Life after graduation: I married Ron Mayer and we had three children. We lost our oldest son to cancer at the age of 31. He was diagnosed with Hodgekins. Our other children are Bruce Mayer, and Rebbecca Filip. Bruce lives in Munith, and Becky in Jackson. |
| Classes/activities/memories: My favorite teacher was Mr. Howlett. He taught history at that time and was principal also. He read "Hiroshima" to the class and I could hardly wait for the next class and hated for it to end. He made us experience the horrors of war from both sides. It was the story of the dropping of the atomic bomb. I never forgot it. I have a great interest in politics to this day, and listen to political speeches and follow the candidates never missing an election. |
| Comments: I am on the committee for our 50th class reunion. We are trying to find Douglas Engle. He has not been located since graduation. If anyone has information on Doug, I would appreciate hearing from you by E-Mail. Thank you. |

Classes/activities/memories: I was in the Glee Club under direction of Ann Nichol. She enabled us to attend two stage shows in Detroit. One
was Finian's Rainbow. Ann also gave me private voice lessons.
Have sung a great deal over the years. Dick Howlett showed me kindness when I needed it the most. I also recall when he kicked some of the first team from the Basketball team. He put in some of the second team and they beat Pinckney, a very important game as I recall. I also babysat for Jesse Batchelor's baby. |

Comments: I have just attended my 50th reunion with my class. It was a glorious occasion and I fear my feet won't touch
ground for a while. Sometimes I would have to look at name tags, thank God for those tags. Some of us change a little
more than others and I apologize to any that I may not have known right away. It was a wonderful weekend that I shall
not forget. Who would have guessed 50 yrs. ago that we could communicate like we do today. I believe these things keep
us young. Would love to hear from any other PC user.
