Life After Graduation: UPDATE 7.24.06 - Job transfer to "The Cowboy State." Yee Haw! New address is PO Box 1718, Casper, WY, 82602. My little girl will be 4 years old next month. She is wonderful! Working as Practice Administrator...Love it. Life is good. December 2001: I finally got married and "settled down" in August. My husband and I bought a home just North of Stockbridge and want to start a family soon. Because of this, I left a very demanding job managing a home health care company in Howell. For the last month, I have been substitute teaching in good old STOCKBRIDGE. I am still afraid of Mr. Keene! As it turns out, I don't enjoy teaching very much AT ALL. So I start a new position in a few days as a clinical services supervisor at Ingham Visiting Nurses. UPDATE 2.24.03 - It's a girl! Julia Rose Marhofer was born 8/14/02. She was 12 weeks early and only weighed 2 pounds, but she is doing fine now. She is a wonderful baby. I couldn't be happier. |
| Classes/activities/memories: Some highlights of my high school career were going to Florida with Campus Life and Senior Prom. My favorite memories at S.H.S. are of my friends. Unfortunately, I have lost contact with most of them. The last time I really saw anyone was at our 10 year reunion. My favorite teachers at S.H.S. were Mrs. Jacobs and Mr. Tucker. |

Life after graduation: I attended EMU graduating in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Then out of respect for the profession based on the fact that I did not want to give less than 100% to the students, I opted out of teaching to pursue a career in christian music by moving to California 3 days after graduating. You know how things never quite go as planned, and the entire band actually moved back to Michigan a year later. The band lost it's unity and 2 of us moved back here to California. Currently the next CD is in the works, though I actually have decided NOT to be a part of it and to quit the band to concentrate on my home based business. I have recorded 2 CDs over the years and actually opened up for the Dave Matthews Band back in 1995. I presently work for Xeroduring the day and am still single waiting for my steep standards to be met ;) I must also say that I take my Christianity very seriously having a couple very spiritual metamorphic experiences over the years. I plan on starting a christian music ministry within the next 2-4 years. Update 8.15.06: Many changes since my last posting! Helped launch a thriving church in 2002 (about 800 people now), ot married in 2003, going to seminary to become a pastor, wife and I are expecting twins in December, live in Grand Blanc now. Life after graduation: Well let me tell you, I didn't go to college or get a degree in anything, but I did get a degree in life. I went through some roughs patchs in my life after school. But of course you learn from them. I have learned to stand up for myself and don't take crap from nobody. And speak my mind.
Deanne Maschke and I were double trouble, always going places and see things and havin the best time. Update 8.28.06: Well my husband and I are moving to GA. Even though I love Michigan and have never moved away, this is the path that our life is taking us. I am both excited and nervous. We also purchased a 2007 Harley Classic ElectraGlide just this August and looking forward to making new and awesome memories riding it. I hope that there will be a 20yr. reunion, as I would like to see everyone. |
| Classes/activities/memories: My biggest memory was Mrs. Corts' class and the time we kidnapped Louise (the babydoll). She was so mad at us. But we thought it was funny. Well I wish I could go back and pay more attention to the classes. But of course we can't go back. But that is my biggest regret was not paying attention and just getting by with the bad grades that I got. I noticed that on the last year that everyone seemed to be more friendly to each other, and going to Steve Snays family gravel pit to party done, those were good times. |
| Comments: Well Deanne and I are the only one's left in our group, and that is fine with us. We are still the best of friends, about 21 years now. WOW. I got married last Sept. to a man I meet in a bar of all places, but I was drawn to him, and that was that. He is my soul-mate, and didn't think that it would ever happen to me. And neither did my family, lol. We purchased a home in Jackson, of course we won't stay here, it's just the first home. Gotta start somewere. I work at PCIA, an insurance agency in Ann Arbor, and I am liking it. It is a good career. Nothing I would have ever thought about, but it fell into my lap and couldn't turn it down. We have no children, but I have 6 nieces and nephews that are my children and had great fun with them, and I can't believe that they are graduted and on with their own lives. Just two more of them to gradute and then I will feel really old. heehee I enjoy reading about fellow classmates, since nobody sees each other, but hoping to go to the 15 year reunion. Life after graduation: I went to CMU in the moutain town for 6 YEARS !!!..hehehe needless to say I had a great time. I studied broadcasting and cinematic arts. While at school I worked on the radio station, and the television station and joined several rock bands to pay the bills. After college I moved to Marquette, MI to work at a radio station. I decided, like many before me, that I hated to do what I spent thousands of dollars to do, so I moved to Ann Arbor and started the long road to getting my teaching certificate. I met a wonderful man named Chris and we got married in 1998. So now I am a substitute teacher, attend EMU, play my guitar, travel, sing, dance ,eat, read...HAVE FUN! UPDATED 12.5.04 - Are we ever going to have a reunion? It's been 15 years now and I miss you all!! Don't you miss me? HEHEHE |

Life after graduation: Went to JCC then WMU. Graduated in 95
with a degree in Operating Systems. Married to
Susan Barrett from Clarksville in 98. First
Daughter (Kayla Rose Drew) born in 2000, second
daughter (Samantha Mae Drew) born in 2001. Third
??hopefully daughter?? due in May 2003. I work for
Perot Systems consulting at TRW in Farmington
Hills. We attend Jackson First Church of the
Nazarene. UPDATE 3.30.06 - Man time flys! Our third was born in 2004, a son (Benjamin Lee Drew), forth (Rebecca Belle Drew) was born a couple of weeks ago. Our oldest started Kindergarden in Stockbridge last fall. I went back to SHS for a cheerleading demo our oldest was in, the old school looks the same, kinda cool walking back in through the doors, brings back loads of good memories. |

Life after graduation: I married Lisa Wheeler from Stockbridge in 95. We have a little girl 17 mos. old named Jenna. We built a house
on Lake Leann just south of Jackson. I work for Ford Motor as the Product Catelog Adminisrtator in the Purchasing
Department. UPDATE 9.17.2001: We are happy to announce the arrival of our new baby. She was born on 7/28 and we named her Lily Grace. We feel very blessed that God has given us two beautiful girls. I hope all is well with everyone. Update 5.6.07 - Looking forward to a 20 year reunion. Can it be that long ago already? My wife Lisa and I now have 3 little girls. We still live over on Lake Leann. Although life has thrown some curve balls we thank God everyday for our blessings. I'm not far from Stockbridge but find it hard to find time to make it back to visit much. I see Mark Winnie and Bubba every so often. I hope everyone is doing well. |

| Life after graduation: After graduating I went to Hillsdale College, where I had the wonderful opportunity to study at Oxford University in England for a year. I graduated in 1993 and then worked for a high impact outdoor company that works with youth at risk. I worked with inner-city youth from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh first in an outdoor setting in TeePees in NorthWestern PA--which became very cold in the winter, and then I worked aboard a 132 foot schooner that sailed from Maine to Key West for a year. That was an amazing experience. After that time I went back to graduate school at Washington University and finished in May 1998. Through that experience I created an opportunity to work in Zimbabwe Africa to work in the field of social and economic development. Zimbabwe is wonderful. |

Classes/activities/memories: Special memories of Stockbridge High School include...always getting in
trouble in Mr. McWilliams Chemistry and Physics class...he had the

Janice,Heidi,Amy down to one syllable....Running in track down the
endless
miles of empty roads in Stockbridge, watching movies and eating popcorn
at
Jennie Mitteer's house...and I can never look at orange and black
garbage
bags the same after we spent four years stuffing floats for
homecoming.... Teacher memories...sneaking out of Mrs. Chadwicks class, (the entire class, and she never noticed) Reading 1984 in Mr. Brown's government class...he has no idea about the seeds he planted in my Head...a paper written in Mr. Tuckers class--about Procrastination--I of course turned it in at Midnight the day it was due--(Mrs. Overbea showing me how to properly do research in the days before the internet--thanks) and Mrs. Keene's American Lit class-- learning to love to read |

Life after graduation: Life has been good since graduating. I received my BA from Eastern Michigan University in 1994 and MBA in 2001. I married my wife Michele in 1995 and we had Morgan in 2000 and Maverick in 2004. We currently live in Brighton Michigan however will be moving to Roanoke Virginia this summer where I will be working as Vice President of Operations for a health care company. update 9.9.06 - We have successfully moved to Virginia. | Life After Graduation: After High School I attended C.M.U. in Mt.Pleasant, MI. for a year. After a year of classes in every subject possible I ran out of money and motivation. I then moved home, took some courses at a few community colleges,lived in a few different towns, worked on a few horse farms, worked as a waitress,cahier, etc. and lived life. I now live in Stockbridge, married to a man named Jeff Misiak from Howell. We have a 3 year old son named, Nikolaus who is just the coolest thing EVER!! I have a horse and enjoy riding whenever possible. I work at The Common Grill in Chelsea part-time so I can be a full-time Mom and Wife. VERY exciting. Just Kidding, I actually like my life alot for the most part. Had a blast at the 10 year, we should have a 15?!! So I left school and decided to do something different. I joined the Marines and spent the next tens years traveling all over the world. The Marines gave me a lot but the most important things is My wife Catherine “Casey” and my son Christian. I finally graduated with a B/S in Information Systems. Came back to Michigan and taught for 5 years before getting a job with Ford Motor Company. I recently quit that job after 7 years and have taken up with Real Estate in Howell, where I live with my wonderful Husband Kevin and we are preparing for the birth of our first child in May! We don't know what it is going to be, it's a suprise. All is well with me and I don't know what made me jump on this Alumni page today and take a look, but I am glad I did. Life after graduation: After high school I moved to Colorado, got married, had two beautiful
daughters in 1991 and 1993. Then I got divorced and married again. And I
just had my third child, a boy. Born on June 18th, 1999. That was the main
reason why I didn't show for the reunion...I was way to fat. I know that's
shallow, but hey, postpartum can mess with your mind. I now realize that if
I looked the same as I did in high school everyone would just think I had
some sort of surgery. And also that I'm beautiful no matter how big my
bottom gets in pregnancy. My kids are named Amanda, Ariel and Keegan. My
husband is Mike. We've been married about 2 years. Anyways, I'll be at the
next reunion, no matter what. I can't wait to see you all there! UPDATE 8.16.01: Also have a new baby boy. Born on Jan. 8, 2001. That makes four kids and I'm done! UPDATE 9.27.03: On May 9, 2003 my 4 year old son was diagnosed with a form of leukemia called acute lymphonic leukemia. As you can imagine this has changed all our lives drastically. The good news is that he is responding well to treatment and the type of leukemia he has, has an 80% survival and cure rate. We are so grateful to the people who donated the blood that saved our sons live, and to god who has given us the strength to get through this. I would love to hear from my friends from school. You can e-mail me, write or call. UPDATE 9.24.05 - We have moved to Georgia. Our new address is 11723 Registry Blvd Hampton, GA 30228 Our son Keegan is still doing well with treatment, although he still has a little less than one year of chemo to go. He will be done on July 7, 2006. It has been a long and rough road, but we are happy to be able to see that the end is in sight. UPDATE 2.5.06 - I just wanted to let you all know that while we were excited that my son Keegan would have been finishing his treatment for Leukemia this July, unfortunately his cancer is back. He has relapsed in his central nervous system. Please send out prayers of healing to him. | Life after graduation: I had Ashley very shortly after graduation. Then I moved in with Stevie about 8 months later. Steve built our first home in 1991, we got married in 1992 and had our baby boy, Bryan in 1993. We bought his parents pizza parlor also in 1993 and ran it until 1997, that was definitely a learning experience. We had our last child in 1996, Chelsea. Life has been very fortunate for us. |

| Comments: I did day care for quite a while until all of my children were in school, now I am attending JCC to become an RN. Steve runs his own heating and cooling business along with being a weatherization inspector for the state. We moved to Concord in 1999, live on a big farm and love to watch our kids grow up. Ashley graduates in 2007, Bryan will be a freshman next year and Chelsea will start middle school. Ouch that makes me feel old. I hope we have a 20 year reunion. |

Life after graduation: after high school i went to M.J.
murphy beauty collage in jackson(with kristi
gauss) and then worked in chelsea, and
stockbridge doing hair for one year, then got
boared with that, so i decided to stay at home
with my daughter nikki, who i had in the
summer between 10th and 11th grade(oops!!) oh
well that really made me settle down and look
at life in a whole new way. i`m happy to
report that i got all a`s on my report card my
senior year for the first time ever!!!!
anyway`s, in june of 1992 i married rob
worden(class of 83) and we had a little sister
for nikki, myranda. i have been doing daycare
in my home for 11years now!!!! UPDATE 9.13.05 - wow.where to start?? unfortunatly i was devorced in jan of 2005. but the goodnews is i went back to schooland became an E.M.T- specialist.i work for stockbridge ambulance and also st.joes hospital in ann arbour. i have met a wonderful man at stockbridge ambulance,,his name is heath corey. well i guess thats all for now. |
